Counselling and Supervision in Dorking/ Surrey and beyond
"We can chose to throw stones, to stumble on them, to climb over them, or to build with them."
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you will find the following information useful.
I am an experienced senior accredited humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist with over 15 years experience. During that time I have worked with clients from many walks of life. This has encouraged me to incorporate areas of other modalities so as to provide for the different needs in each and everyone. I offer face to face, telephone and online counselling.
I am now also able to offer therapy while walking out in the open what is called Walk and Talk Therapy (Eco-Therapy)
I offer counselling to teenagers - 11 upwards, adults and sometimes to groups. I work with all age groups from 11 + providing a personal, confidential and non judgemental counselling service with the hope of offering therapy to suit you. I see my role as working with you to explore, examine and evaluate what is on your mind and by so doing open up new ways of thinking, reframing and moving on. I am committed to offering a safe, non judgemental, and confidential service in a quiet and calm surrounding.
I have worked with clients on a variety of issues like:
anxiety, feeling alone, depression, relationship issues, separation and divorce, abuse ,self esteem, stress, anger, learning difficulties, disabilities, loss in it's many forms, bereavement, life changes, illness, abortion, bereavement... just to name some.
As well as offering private sessions I work for a number of insurance companies. I also work as a self employed counsellor in a secondary schools with 6th forms attached. My past work experience covers working in schools, colleges, hospices, doctor surgeries-with adolescents and adults. The hospice work was centred around bereavement and loss as well as terminal illness. I work with patients and their families.
On my journey as a counsellor for the past 15+ years I have acquired a broad range of training which is giving me a wider base of additional skill to employ when working with the individual person and am so able to offer a flexible service to accommodate individual needs. I have had positive feedbacks from clients which indicates that this flexibility is working well.
On many occasions I have had the privilege to see clients discover new ways of coping and enjoy life to the full again.
I offer a confidential, calm and professional environment in which to explore hurdles that present themselves in life and through counselling sessions facilitate a way forward. I have recently added walking therapy session to the existing face to face and online provision.
